Editor and curator, Sol Echevarría created Espacio FAN as a meeting ground between the editorial and the visual. There, books become a territory for experimentation, and artworks become ways of reading. A project that champions collaboration, critical thinking, and cultural resistance in times of retreat.

For over four decades, Mónica Kupfer has been researching, writing, and curating exhibitions that seek to tell a story of Panamanian and Central American Art that is still under construction. She played a key role in the first edition of Pinta Panamá Art Week, where she coordinated FORO—a regional discussion platform that brought together artists, curators, collectors, and institutions.

The curatorial duo Carmen Lael Hines and Roberto Majano will be the new Head Curators at The RYDER Projects. This represents a new stage in the gallery that succeeds the period led by Rafa Barber, who has held this position heretofore.

The board of La Biennale di Venezia appointed Koyo Kouoh as Director of the Visual Arts Department, with the specific task of curating the 61st International Art Exhibition to be held in 2026.

Cecilia Lenardón's Special Project at Pinta BAphoto, curated by Irene Gelfman, presents an installation that pushes the representation of the body through photography to the limit, transforming the static image into a living and performative experience. Entitled Cuatro piezas clave (Four Key Pieces), the work invites us to reflect on the body's boundaries and its capacity to tolerate effort and repetition.

Pinta BAphoto –the most important photography fair in the region– presents as a new feature the RADAR section, curated by Sebastián Vidal Mackinson. In an interview with Arte al Día, Sebastián reflects on the diversity of approaches in photography today and its growth as a medium capable of dialoguing with other forms of artistic expression.

After six years of his collaboration as a teacher in the Master's Degree in Curatorial Studies offered by the Museo Universidad de Navarra (MUN), Gabriel Pérez-Barreriro has been appointed as the institution's new artistic director. With extensive experience in university museums and other centers in Europe, the United States and Latin America, he is now the new head of the MUN's artistic strategy together with Teresa Lasheras, artistic director of performing arts and music.

Energy Fields: Vibrations of The Pacific is an exhibition, publication, and series of public programs co-presented by Fulcrum Arts and Chapman University. Curated by Robert Takahashi Novak and Lawrence English, the exhibition presents a diverse and dynamic collection of works from artists working such as Alba Triana, David Haines and Joyce Hinterding, Steve Roden, Malena Szlam and Virginia Katz.

apexart is soliciting idea-based group exhibition proposals for its NYC open call October 1–31, 2024. Five winning proposals will receive up to a 10,000 USD exhibition budget and become apexart exhibitions at the NYC space as part of the 2025–26 exhibition season. Curators, artists, writers, and creative individuals, regardless of experience level or location, are invited to submit a proposal online.

The third edition of Pinta Sud | ASU featured for the first time the Young Curators Program, under the leadership of Adriana Almada. In a conversation with Arte al Día, the two selected participants -Majo Fiorio and Luis Ocampos Pompa- shared their experience throughout the process.

History forms an invisible rhythm, resounding in the background of visual stories. Tania Pardo (Madrid, Spain, 1976) is the new Director of the Museo Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo (CA2M Museum), the museum of contemporary art of the Community of Madrid. Pardo's career until her recent appointment has been built on a detailed work of promotion and visibility of emerging art through the curatorial actions she has developed in numerous Spanish institutions.

Pies bajo fuego: sobre el espejo (Feet under fire: on the mirror) is the two-part exhibition at MAC Panama. Curated by Miguel A. López, it explores the multivalent notion of dispossession and its forms of representation through a group of video works from the last decade.

HELICONIA PROJECTS presents The Fragility of Ancestral Time, a group exhibition of four international artists: Francisca Sosa López, Clara de Tezanos, Cecilia Fiona, and Olamide Ogunade.

ARCOmadrid is being held until Sunday, March 10, and presented its Lexus Award for Best Stand to the Argentinean gallery W-Gallery. In addition, the galleries Remota and Piedras won the X Opening Award, which recognizes the best stand in that section.

Delfina Foundation presented de montañas submarinas el fuego hace islas (from the underwater mountains fire makes islands), an exhibition exploring the intersection of imagination and emancipation.

Open Call for the position of Director at Auto Italia, a non-profit contemporary art institution at London, UK, dedicated to researching, producing and exhibiting work on the intersections of queer studies and social change. Deadline to apply: March 4^th, 2024.

Argentine multidisciplinary artist Adriana Bustos presents her site-specific project entitled Genealogy of a Collection conceived for Viceversa, an exhibition project celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Museo de Arte Moderno de Bogotá (MAMBO).

Presented at Tai Kwun Contemporary, Green Snake: women-centred ecologies gather more than 60 works—16 of them new commissions—from 30 artists and collectives in an exhibition that draws on mythologies and world views with women at their heart to explore possibilities for other ecological relationships.

Kunstinstituut Melly presented My Oma, a project that involves a group exhibition, concerts, performance, public programs and education activities. Conceptually interlaced throughout these formats are the figure of the grandmother, queries on ancestral knowledge, and ideas of cultural heritage.

El Dorado: Myths of Gold is an extensively researched, impeccably installed exhibition featuring one-hundred objects and artworks from the Pre-Columbian period to the 21^st century by sixty artists.

Amazonia is a Pinta Miami project curated by Félix Suazo that proposes a visual expedition through the Amazon, crossing countries, cultures and ecological identities. As a Special Project, Amazonia emphasizes Pinta's commitment as an international platform for Latin American art.

The fifth edition of the Kyiv Biennial is taking place across Europe: in Kyiv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Uzhhorod, Berlin, Vienna as the main exhibition venue, and Warsaw.
